I thought I'd post the pics of a plane stand I made years ago and which evolved as tge years passed. Its all PVCS pipe and it breaks down for easy storage and tranport. The design was setup so the flaps could be deployed on a full house sailplane while it was on the stand.... This was the first generation... I then modified it so it was taller... These next 2 show how the mods I made to Gen 2 to allow it to be broken down... And finally, here it is in use with a Stratos sitting on it... The greay foam on it is pipe insulation. The PVC is all 3/4". Everything can be had at Home Depot or Lowes. Additionally, I had added a velcro strap to reduce the wind effect of lifting the plan off the stand (since we have such bad winds here from what I've seen so far Dave

just wanted to let you know that robert ashinsky built one of these plane stands and gave it to me.. seems he likes the design so much, he's built a BUNCH!!! when i get some good pics tomorrow of the stand in use, i'll be sure to post here.. thanks again robert! well done!

I have one of these plane stands on order from Robert. My Bubble Dancer sat on Ed's plane stand for several hours yesterday at the cradle. Works great ! This will be a lot nicer than assembling models on the ground.......
