if there's light winds I'll bring the super ava, there would probably be a bunch of res planes:) sounds like fun!

I'll keep watching the forecast but if its blowing at 19, I'm out. Also, that wind may not exactly put us on even footing with the Aussies.

I'm seeing winds of 20 mph also.....on the Weather Channel site. That's a little too windy IMHO.

So seriously, who is going to be in charge of this contest...and say if it's on or not...or are we just using the old method of show up and find out...seems like just a few of us are using this site to communicate so far. respec

I guess no one is in charge. The forecast I just saw was 17mph at 11 and dropping 1 per hour after that. Pretty iffy. I'm charging my planes just in case but I'd sure like someone to make a decision. If I'm flying, I have to get you very early to make church at 8:30 (Palm Sunday, you know). I'd prefer to sleep in! Dave

i won't be flying in this contest... winds are too much.. not worth loosing a plane so early in the season. dan, if you get there and it isn't so bad... call me on the cell... but i seriously don't think i'll be up to 17+ winds. -rob

If winds are in low teens, I'm in. But 20+ seems more likely most of the day. If that's the case, there wouldn't be much point in having a contest. I'll wait until 9 AM tomorrow to decide.

I sent Pete and email but just in case...
Will someone call and leave me a voice mail on my cell phone (904-412-1987)? I'll be in church and will have the truck packed for the field. However, I'd prefer not to waste the trip out there from Freeport.
Thanks, Dave

Guys,
Weather Channel site says winds of 19 with gusts to 25. I think I'll sit this one out. Don't worry.......there will be beautiful weather in the middle of the week!
