As luck would have it, I have a set of BOT plans which I bought from RCM Plans Service which I've had since the 90s. It has all the rib profiles. Right now I'm using trace paper to copy all the ribs and other parts to use as patterns to make the wood parts. I have a lot of accumulated scrapwood from other builds, gonna use as much of this as possible. My goal is to scratch build an extra BOT wing which will be stronger than the stock wing but not in the class of a Bubble Dancer. As of now, I plan to use .014 carbon on the top spar cap and .007 on the lower spar cap. If I decide to wrap this with kevlar thread or tow, it will require wrapping the fishbone assembly before gluing on the upper and lower sheet, leading edge, trailing edge, etc, as in the Bubble Dancer or Allegro Lite. Some builds on the internet show the spar being wrapped, some builds omit this step. Well, back to tracing parts for now. Pete

Weather channel website has winds in hi single digits early and in the low teens by afternoon. Nothing about gusts. Good conditions for my 10.5 oz Supergee

Ed,
What plane is your bagged 2 meter ? This week I got work done on an XP 5 I picked up at Polecat last June. I had to re center the wing servo arms which meant removing the servos which had been so nicely mounted. Next project is to recover the wings of my 12 year old BOT with Polyspan covering so she can fly at our next RES Day.

Since the grass is being cut in the afternoon we should start the contest early.

Polecat..........YAY !!! ;D
As I did last year, I'm making the trip to PA a mini vacation. Going to drive there on Monday and go home the following Monday. We're staying at Motel 6. LISF has a nice size group attending this year. That will make it even more fun. Rob, I expect you to kick some butt in PA !

LOL Frank............. But 20 mph winds alone would be a good reason to postpone the contest. No sense risking models especially before Polecat. And of course there's mothers day too !
