Guys, If memory serves me, this Sunday is the LISF DLG contest. Currently there is some talk of rain but the percent seems low. Who's coming? Phil, you wanted to run the club contest last month and it didn't come to fuition. Do you want to do it this month? If we get rained out, then there will be no contest this month since the ESL TD contest is on the 4th (and last) sunday of the month. Let's get to the field early, say 9AM. We'll try, if the CD agrees, to have the first round start about 9:15 - 9:30AM. Pilot's meeting at 9:15AM. For those going to Delaware, this will be the last time to practice before that DLG contest. Let me know who is thinking of attending. thanks Frank

July contest did not occur so we will be having one on the rain date of July 25th - but wait isn't that the date of the RES day?

Guys,
The next club DLG contest will be July 11th with the rain date on July 25th. Not sure of the rain date since that could be the date for the RES fun day.
We will start at 9:30 AM.
Please post if you can make it.
Also, I was wondering if anyone would like to extend the contest to 6 rounds instead of 5.
What are your thought?

Yes, come fly. We can go over where and what not when you get there.
If the wind picks up, just know your and the plane's limitations and you will do fine.
Guys, I plan on getting started on time so pilot's meeting at 9:30AM and then immediately to the contest.
see you there.

Sure, if we have one!
So far I have read 11-13 mph wind gusting to 30!
2PM there is talk of rain (30%)
Let's look at the weather reports and take it from there.....
Guys, Please post here if you are going. If we do not have enough guys then we will cancel for the rain date

Guys,
Let's plan for the LISF DLG contest on the scheduled date of April 11, 2010 (rain date 4/25).
Pilot's meeting will be at 9:30 AM (if you recall, everyone wanted to get another round in and suggested we start a 1/2 hour earlier.)
I need someone to bring a winch battery to run the sound system. Any takers?
Please post here if you are coming and check here for postponement it to the rain date.
thanks

Guys,
So far, it seems that the hitch is on but we are waiting for the wiring harness. I am going over to Rich V. around 8:30am or 9AM to help put it on. We should be at the field around 11AM - 12pm or so.

Rich V. called and asked for help with the tractor on Sat. He asked me to help attach a ball hitch on his car and then, before 1PM, go over to the store to pick up the club's new 22HP 42" Husquavarna v-twin tractor.
Rich suggested that we fill her up and go by the field also. Do not have a time yet. It is all depending on when we can get the hitch on and if we can get to the store before it closes and be done before he needs to get a customer of his.
We want to do some test runs with it and might be cutting a section for the hand launch contest on Sunday.
Feel free to drop by the field. We may be running a tank of gas (~3 gallons) through it doing speed runs and cutting tests to see how long a tank will last.
That is the plan. Between now and Sat, anything can change....

Well the first date did not happen. We did not fly so we will be shooting for the fourth sunday of the month for the rain date.
We will be having the pilot's meeting at 8:45 am and promptly starting after that(~9am).
We will n ot be changing this.

Guys,
The popular consensus has been to start early at about 9:15am pilot's meeting
As soon as we are all there, we will start flying.

I would count yourself lucky to only spend $300. A plane with servos will probably go for $450+ unless they are either heavy or damaged.
