tutorial: how to "subscribe" to a thread

OK... so it turns out you CAN subscribe to a thread on these forums.. it's just not called subscribe... it's called "bookmark"....
once in a thread, on the top left hand corner of the thread window, you'll see some type that says "bookmark"
click that button and you are "subscribed"

to view your bookmarks, click on "profile" in the main navigation.
then go to the bookmarks link in your profile.. there you will be able
to see all your bookmarked threads.

you can also set up notification if someone replies to the thread.
you can either set it to send you a PM or email you!

not as easy as rc groups.. but still functional!

I see how to subscribe, but I don't find how to set up notification. Where is that?

go to your profile... then click the "bookmarks" link at the top of your profile... then on the right top of the box which holds your bookmarks, there's a link called "manage bookmarks" here is where you can define the type of notification you would like.
