Phil, That's a good idea for a presentation.

Sorry guys..... I can't make it tomorrow. But it's only April and there'll be plenty of other nice days.

I can't make the 12th so if the contest is moved to the raindate, that's OK with me ! Besides, with a little luck I'll get my Light Hawk done this coming week. ;D

Dan, It looks as if tomorrow AM will be the one and only time in the next several days which is good for DLG ! Think of us at work when you're throwing your XP5 around tomorrow Pete

Guys,
Weather Channel site says winds of 19 with gusts to 25. I think I'll sit this one out. Don't worry.......there will be beautiful weather in the middle of the week!

If winds are in low teens, I'm in. But 20+ seems more likely most of the day. If that's the case, there wouldn't be much point in having a contest. I'll wait until 9 AM tomorrow to decide.

I'm seeing winds of 20 mph also.....on the Weather Channel site. That's a little too windy IMHO.

10 AM for a pilot's meeting is fine with me. Weather forecast for Sunday is a good one. Dan, are you bringing your Super Ava??

I taught myself to fly using a small homemade hi start and a kit built Gentle Lady. The first time I crashed it, it was due to flying on a windy day. The second crash was due to drained receiver batteries. 2 crashes, both avoidable. Gentle Lady is a great training model because it is: A ) stable and B ) It flies very slowly giving the new pilot time to think. And it comes with a good instruction book. GL is great for learning to build. Main drawbacks to the design are: A ) not extremely crash resistant. But if you built it, you can repair it. And B ) The wings can only take the gentlest of winch launches. I'm thinking of recovering my Gentle Lady and getting her back into the air. It's still a great model for a light air day.

I have one of these plane stands on order from Robert. My Bubble Dancer sat on Ed's plane stand for several hours yesterday at the cradle. Works great ! This will be a lot nicer than assembling models on the ground.......
